Actress Eucharia Anunobi has revealed that her father never liked her line of work and he almost disowned her for wanting to become an actress.

The actress who spoke with the Punch’s Sunday Scoop revealed how it was like walking her path alone at first.

She said, “The first time my father saw me modeling, he said I wanted to bring shame to the Anunobi family. He told me he would disown me if I didn’t do what he wanted. We fought over this for a long time but he didn’t succumb to my desire. When he told me to fill an employment form after my National Youth Service Corps, I refused.”

The actress, however, admitted, that she wouldn’t blame her father for refusing to allow her to pursue a career in entertainment. She said, “At that time, most entertainers were into drugs; they didn’t represent the industry well. Whenever I remember my father’s drama, I don’t blame him for his action. I am sure that some people can associate with what I am saying because back then, parents didn’t want their children to go into entertainment.

“However, I was a graduate already and I was determined not to bring shame to my family. I used to go out secretly for auditions because I wasn’t supposed to be seen outside my house after 7 pm. I only received my father’s blessing after I featured in the movie, Glamour Girls, and I showed him an award I got in London.”

Michael Jackson’s daughter Paris has reportedly taken her hippie lifestyle to the extreme – she’s apparently abandoned Hollywood to live in a tepee, according to a US report!

The 19-year-old free-spirited offspring of the late King of Pop is living with fellow alternative teens including Marlon Brando’s daughter, Prudence, in a “rickety hippie house” hidden away in the California hills, according to American publication Star.

“It’s Paris and her friends’ own form of therapy, where they can all feed off the positive energy that’s generated by their intense bond,” a source told the publication.

Paris – who shocked racegoers with her outrageous behaviour at the Melbourne Cup last year - and her friends are said to trek into the desert for soul searching and meditation sessions. And while there, they’re often forced to go back to basics and live in teepees.

“Paris is convinced this is perfectly normal and thinks everyone should be happy for her,” continues the insider.

However, the Jackson family have expressed serious concerns over Paris’ alternative lifestyle, especially die to her troubled history.

“They fear there are temptations at these retreats that Paris should really be staying away from.”

Even more concerning is the fact that the heiress has allegedly distanced herself somewhat from biological mum Debbie Rowe – who’s been fighting breast cancer for the past couple of years.

“They were incredibly close. But these days Paris prefers hanging with her hippie friends, like Prudence,” claimed a nameless pal of the model to Star.

Paris has yet to respond to Star's claims.

The Fulani people are one of the most widely spread tribes in the world. They are predominantly found in West Africa and northern parts of Central Africa.

Some of these countries include; Nigeria, Guinea, Mali, Burkina Faso, Cameroun and Senegal.

The Fulani people of Nigeria are mainly pastoral; they move across vast areas of land and come across different cultures.

They speak Hausa, French, English and Fulfulde or Fula language. They are mostly Muslims and they follow Islamic laws like the Hausas.

The Fulani traditional marriage ceremony is one of the best traditions that have been preserved in Nigeria.

Although marriages in Nigerian tribes are sacred, the Fulani traditional marriage is highly exceptional as a lot of spirituality and traditional values are accorded to marriage.

The Fulani people practice a kind of marriage system that can be best described as ‘endogamy’ (marriage within an ethnic group), a tradition that is gradually going into extinction as inter-tribal marriages are now common among the tribe.

However, there are three important things you must know if you must marry a Fulani lady.

These three things are what makes the marriage to be sacred:

1. Kowgal (Payment of dowry)

Like other tribes in Nigerian culture, the payment of dowry is very important to the Fulani people as the bride will not be allowed to move in with the groom without the payment.

The dowry is usually paid in form of herds of cattle to the bride’s father while the bride price which is gift items are given to the bride herself.

2. Sharo (flogging)

This is the most interesting and difficult part of the marriage ceremony as the groom-to-be will have to be flogged before he can marry the lady.

I know by now you will be wondering why the groom has to be flogged before marrying the bride.

This is because the Fulani people cherish their females and they always do everything possible to protect them.

They believe that if a man can withstand the flogging definitely he will be able to protect their daughter.

Guy, if you must marry a Fulani lady abeg rethink am now before is too late.

But once you can endure the flogging, the babe becomes yours.

3. Kabbal (Celebration)

This is just a wedding ceremony and this usually takes place after the dowry and other marriage rites have been completed.

It is reported that the young woman stormed her boyfriend’s house, identified as Tony after hearing that he took another lady to his duplex to have fun. After arriving the house in anger, the lady turned the house on its head as she scattered the apartment in a bid to show her displeasure.

The woman reportedly went to also rain insults on Tony as she allegedly labelled him a cripple whom she has been ”managing”.

However, it is reported that that Christabel’s sister has been calling Tony to beg him to forgive and forget her sister’s ‘madness’.
